Author Guidelines
Authors are kindly requested to carefully read and follow the guidelines below before submitting manuscripts to the International Journal of Islamic Education Studies (IJIES). Manuscripts that do not adhere to these guidelines may be returned for revision.
1. Language and Originality

Manuscripts must be written in English and be original, unpublished work that is not under consideration elsewhere.

The manuscript must be free from plagiarism. Similarity checks will be conducted using Turnitin/iThenticate. The acceptable similarity index is ≤ 20% (excluding references and quotations).
2. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

3. Manuscript Structure
A typical manuscript should include the following sections:

Title (concise and informative, maximum 16 words)

Author(s) Name and Affiliation (full name, institution, country, email)
-
Abstract (150–250 words, written in one paragraph, containing purpose, method, results, and conclusion)
-
Keywords (3–6 words/phrases, separated by semicolons)
-
Introduction (background, problem statement, objectives, and significance)
-
Methodology (research design, data collection, and analysis)
-
Results and Discussion (findings supported by tables/figures, followed by interpretation)
-
Conclusion (summary of findings, implications, and recommendations)
-
Acknowledgments (if applicable)
-
References (APA 7th Edition, minimum 20 references with at least 50% from the last 10 years and reputable sources such as Scopus/WoS indexed journals).
4. Formatting Requirements

Manuscript length: 5,000 – 8,000 words (excluding references).
-
Font: Times New Roman, size 12.
-
Spacing: 1.5.
-
Margin: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
-
Paper size: A4.
-
References must use APA 7th Edition style, managed with Mendeley, Zotero
5. Tables and Figures
-
Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively (Table 1, Table 2; Figure 1, Figure 2).
-
Titles should be placed above tables and below figures.
-
Ensure high-resolution images (minimum 300 dpi).
6. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the OJS submission system at:

Authors must register and log in to submit manuscripts.

Submissions via email will not be accepted.
7. Publication Fees
-
IJIES is an open access and APC-free journal.
-
Authors are not required to pay any submission or publication charges.
8. Peer Review Policy
-
All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process.
-
The typical review process takes 8–12 weeks from submission to decision.
9. Ethical Considerations
-
Authors must follow ethical research practices.
-
Research involving human subjects should include an ethical approval statement (if applicable).

IJIES follows the standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
