Screening for Plagiarism
The International Journal of Islamic Education Studies (IJIES) is firmly committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. To ensure originality and academic integrity, all submitted manuscripts undergo a plagiarism screening process before entering the peer review stage.
-
Software Used: The journal uses plagiarism detection tools such as Turnitin and/or iThenticate to check the similarity index of submitted manuscripts.
-
Acceptable Similarity Threshold: Manuscripts with a similarity index of more than 20% (excluding references, quotations, and bibliography) will be returned to the author for revision or may be rejected directly.
-
Self-Plagiarism: Authors are not allowed to recycle their own previously published work without proper citation and significant modifications.
-
Action on Plagiarism: If plagiarism is detected at any stage (before or after publication), the editorial board reserves the right to reject the manuscript, retract the published article, and/or inform the author’s institution.
By submitting a manuscript to IJIES, authors acknowledge that their work will be subject to plagiarism screening and that they are responsible for ensuring the originality of their manuscript.
