The International Journal of Islamic Education Studies (IJIES) proudly announces the publication of its inaugural issue, Volume 1, Number 1 (April 2025). This first edition represents a significant step forward in advancing scholarly discourse on Islamic education, bringing together contributions from two countries—Indonesia and Malaysia—and five academic institutions, namely Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam KH. Muhammad Ali Shodiq (Indonesia), University College of MAIWP International (UCMI, Malaysia), Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sunan Giri (Indonesia), Universitas Islam Negeri Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung (Indonesia), and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 5 Ponorogo (Indonesia). As an open-access and peer-reviewed journal, IJIES is committed to promoting academic collaboration and innovation in Islamic education. This edition features five impactful research articles, including Efforts of Islamic Education Teachers in Fostering Noble Character in elementary Islamic school, Internalization of Religious Moderation Values through Islamic Religious Education Learning, Islamic Religious Education as an Effort to Strengthen Religious Literacy among Adolescents, Challenges and Opportunities for Islamic Education Teachers in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 5.0, and Implementation of Moral Education Through the Islamic Religious Education Curriculum. These studies reflect the journal’s mission to foster global dialogue, strengthen educational values, and contribute to the continuous improvement of Islamic education in the modern era.
