Authors who publish with the International Journal of Law (IJL) agree to the following terms:

  1. Copyright Retention
    Authors retain the copyright of their articles and grant the journal the right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a
    Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0),
    which permits use, sharing, adaptation, distribution, and reproduction in any medium or format, provided the original author(s) and source are properly credited and that any derivative works are licensed under the same terms.

  2. Author's Rights
    Authors may:

    • Reuse, archive, or post the published version of their article (e.g., in institutional repositories, on personal websites, or in books), with proper acknowledgment of its initial publication in IJL.

    • Enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the article (e.g., publishing in an edited volume), with an acknowledgment of its original publication in IJL.

  3. Open Access Policy
    All articles published in IJL are open access and available freely to the public, supporting a greater global exchange of knowledge. There are no subscription or paywall barriers.
