Screening for Palgiasrism Policy

The HARMONI: Journal of Guidance and Counseling Innovation is firmly committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. To ensure originality and academic integrity, all submitted manuscripts undergo a plagiarism screening process before entering the peer review stage.

  • Software Used: The journal uses plagiarism detection tools such as Turnitin and/or iThenticate to check the similarity index of submitted manuscripts.

  • Acceptable Similarity Threshold: Manuscripts with a similarity index of more than 20% (excluding references, quotations, and bibliography) will be returned to the author for revision or may be rejected directly.

  • Self-Plagiarism: Authors are not allowed to recycle their own previously published work without proper citation and significant modifications.

  • Action on Plagiarism: If plagiarism is detected at any stage (before or after publication), the editorial board reserves the right to reject the manuscript, retract the published article, and/or inform the author’s institution.
