International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation (IJMRI)The inaugural edition of the International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation (IJMRI), Volume 1, Issue 1 (June 2025), is proudly published by Berkah Opung Pungan Press as a testament to its commitment to advancing international scholarly exchange and disseminating multidisciplinary knowledge across borders. This first issue features academic contributions from three countries Indonesia, Egypt, and Malaysia, and brings together authors from ten distinguished higher education institutions. These institutions include STAI Kh Muhammad Ali Shodiq Tulungagung (Indonesia), South Valley University Qena (Egypt), UNHASY Tebuireng Jombang (Indonesia), IAIFA Kediri (Indonesia), INSUD Lamongan (Indonesia), UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung (Indonesia), UNSURI Surabaya (Indonesia), University College MAIWP International (Malaysia), MIN 5 Ponorogo (Indonesia), and MAN 2 Tulungagung (Indonesia).
This edition presents five peer-reviewed articles addressing contemporary issues in education, innovation, and institutional leadership. The first article, “Digital Leadership Impact on Organizational Culture and Learning Innovation in Islamic Education,” explores how digital leadership shapes organizational culture and drives learning innovation within Islamic educational institutions. The second article, “Teachers’ Professional Development and Its Influence on Teaching Innovation in Rural Schools,” highlights the critical role of ongoing professional development in enhancing teaching practices, particularly in rural contexts. The third article, entitled “Project-Based Learning (PjBL) as a Strategy to Enhance Critical Thinking Skills in Elementary Students,” examines how real-world, project-based learning can strengthen the critical thinking abilities of elementary learners through contextually relevant experiences. The fourth article, “Developing Critical Thinking Skills among Young Learners through Innovative Learning Models,” focuses on how innovative instructional models foster analytical and reflective thinking in early childhood education. The final contribution, “Unggul Accreditation as a Quality-Based Marketing Strategy to Build University Brand Image,” investigates how top-tier accreditation serves as a strategic marketing tool to build institutional reputation and competitive advantage in higher education.
Through this diverse collection of scholarly works, IJMRI reaffirms its mission to be a platform for interdisciplinary academic dialogue that upholds the values of quality, innovation, and global collaboration.
